This was a text to my son’s 12 year old best friend…I was checking in on them.

Texting "WTF" to a 12 year old...classy. Why didn't she call his mom to check on them?

My thoughts exactly.

lol you think kids dont know what WTF means? i feel sorry for the kids you're going to have and subsequently shelter.
October 31, 2012 at 4:05 pm
Mike Salvato it's not about knowing the meaning. that's just no appropriate language for a child
October 31, 2012 at 4:06 pm
to be honest it looks like a fake

Jenni Gianna inappropriate language for a 12 year old? lol, I havesome of the most well-behaved cousins who are in the 12-15 year old range, and they all use WTF. Does this mean theyre bad bad people!?
October 31, 2012 at 4:22 pm
its not about the children using or knowing what wft means. its about an adult using that language in a conversation with a child that is inappropriate
i think what she meant was that it's not appropriate for an adult to speak like this to a kid, especially if he's not his (or her's) child. this does not mean that if a kid use wtf he is unpolite or a bad person...

Yes. That's what I meant. It's not appropriate for an adult to use that language with someone else's child.

WHAT LANGUAGE? It's 3 letters. Is this really where we are headed as a society? WTF is now a curse word? WTF?!?!
October 31, 2012 at 5:32 pm
thank you Tim. It's not like this parent said "HEY FUCK YOU, YOU DUMB MOTHER FUCKER"
Society is so obsessed with "preservation of youth" that theyre going overboard with their desire to protect them.
October 31, 2012 at 5:37 pm
it has nothing to do with preservation of youth, we are not that naive. its about good manners.

so you're aware of the personal relationship this person has with the 12 year old by viewing this image? FFS the image caption even says "best friend"...idk about you but i consider myself pretty close with my best friend's parents. So for you to say "it's abot good manners" means that you think that no matter the relationship, the term WTF shouldnt be used. What the fuck (WTF) is this retarded ass world coming to?

Is anyone aware of the high possibility the "F" could mean anything. One could always have good intentions. "Freak" or "frick" is totally suitable. Also, "fuck" is one of the most vague origins as a curse word. Society gets their feathers ruffled over many uneducated reasons.

Call me old fashioned, but if I'm going to check up on my kid, I'll call him or his friend's parent first.
October 31, 2012 at 4:03 pm
It's also weird that the WTF is in the same line as the autocorrect, meaning she could have backspaced and corrected it before she hit send.
October 31, 2012 at 4:36 pm
Honestly, the whole thing seems fake to me. Wtf in the same message as the autocorrect? There's no reason to say wtf in that statement. Why is the "kid" responding with "Oh yeah" to Naked Mom? Does he regularly converse with someone known as 'naked mom'?
October 31, 2012 at 7:36 pm
Naked mom... Hummm. She should have been honest. Every time I answer the phone I always mention that I'm dressed. Really.
November 1, 2012 at 2:53 pm
Fake considering WTF is on the same autocorrect message- boring
January 28, 2013 at 5:22 am
Yeah, don't text with your 12 year old's best friend, cougartown. Text with your 12-year-old.
May 14, 2013 at 6:58 am
Okay... I read it as the kid said naked mom... It was funnier that way.... I don't know why I read it that way :/
