The most awkward thing about texting failures from "old" people is that they don't seem to get "in" on the joke. Like they don't say, "dammit, this phone is autocorrecting me, lols..." they just keep going, stonefaced, determined to get their message out...

"old people" texts? Surely you jest. Most of the young people I know haven't a clue how to spell; however, my friends and I (who are older) are very good spellers. Texting ruins spelling skills, so I refuse to use the abbreviations. Only a younger person would generalize about "old people's mistakes" when the fact is more mistakes are made by younger people. How sad is that?

I, for one 18 year old girl, break that stereotype and only use lol and ttfn for abbreviations. I dislike all the rest of them, and often don't even know what they mean. I also don't tipe lyk dis, bcuz it bothrs mii. I hate that. I text intelligently. Let's just drop all stereotypes now, before anyone here gets capslocked out. :P

I think you are both right. I also think that, as someone of 34 years, if we learned to spell in school (show of hands; those of you who did), we should translate it to our typing and texting, mainly bcuz eye hate it wen peepl tawk lyk dis. It rly fcuks me uyp.

to Elizabeth Moser: you are right. we should not categorize people. Some older folks cannot spell, some young people cannot spell. Luckily, many of us, young and old, continue to believe that good spelling improves communication.

am I pretty? (boy) NO (girl) do you want to be with me forever? (boy) NO (girl) would you cry if I walked away? (boy) NO she heard enough and was hurt, she walked away. Tears ran down her face. The boy grabbed her arm: (boy) you're not pretty... you're beautiful (boy) I don't want to be with you forever... I need to be with you forever. (boy) I wouldn't cry if you walked away... I would DIE! (boy whispers) plzz stay with me. (girl whispers) I will... Tonight at midnight your true love will realize they love you. Something good will happen to you 1-4 pm. Tomorrow it could be anywhere. Get ready for the shock of your life! If you don't post this to five other comments... you will have relationship problems for the next ten years.

I think the funniest part of all these "screenshots" is that people think they're real.

So that's why you visit this site, then? Not for the posts, but to laugh at people, and make lame, snarky comments? Alrighty, then.
