god people get so bent out of shape over the smallest things. I do agree that "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" but face it...no matter how much we bitch about it they are STILL not going to change anything. So it is better to just smile and get used to the new format and not cry about something that we can't change. after all, you get what you pay for. this site is free, they are not charging us to view it and since we don't pay their bill we have no say to what happens. Get over it everyone!

Although you don't see the point, they may find the feedback of value. Free or not, they presumably want more visitors, so the outcry informs them of their public's opinion.Which currently appears to be overwhelmingly negative.

When has a web site ever listened to negative format feed back? Whenever anyone bitches about a format change at FB I tell them that nobody cares because they have already proven that human beings bitch about change and then adapt to it to the point where they bitch about the next change. Also it doesn't seem to be in human nature anymore to make a comment just to say "Good work, I love the format change" so unless they're doing a poll (which they would if they cared about your opinion) you can't say one way or another.

@GregoryGrove When facebook changed its layout everyone complained about that and did facebook change? Eventually everyone just quit complaining cus nothing was done. They just adapted to change. Same will happen here.

They're saying that they're going to more than one layout per page if you would read the full note. Honestly, once they do, I think this layout will be much better than the old. It's a lot neater.
