DYAC is no longer funny. It's a waste of time when I read these. In fact, I dread coming here. All they do these days is post anything and everything(NO THOUGHT PUT INTO IT). They don't care anymore. Sad. Do they even care what we think and comment about it? NO. They do NOT!

You are not their customers. The companies that purchase ad space on their website are customers. They don't care about your complaints. Embrace the change and move on.

Uhhhh...... without viewers they wouldn't HAVE advertisers. DUH. We are their content consumers - without us (readers) their would not be any advertisers or money (and subsequently no website at all). Interesting that you're a customer service advisor..........

Your opinion doesn't change the facts. The owners of the site needed to fit in more ads per post in order to be able to keep the site up and running. If they change it back, they won't receive enough ad revenue to keep the site, and then you won't be able to see any posts.

More ads. More money. It's how businesses run. Are the public so accustomed to a tide of free stuff that they no longer understand basic economics? I blame google for their genius ad-funded business mechanisms - I've never minded the ads when the content is good and free. Dyac falls into that category - whether that's one per page or a thousand per page.

Damn You AutoCorrect is not ignoring us. I have sent them a message about the new layout and they have replied with this :
Dear Eugene, Thanks for reaching out so politely, it's much appreciated. We have been and continue to read all of the comments on our Facebook page and on the site, and are very aware of the negative feelings that many of the users have towards it. We definitely hear you, and do value every one of your opinions.
The upgrade is multifaceted and more about giving users a few different ways to interact with the site, rather than a single-minded, old fashioned blog roll.
For example, now if you go to Just Submitted, you have a "window" into our inbox and can see everything that gets submitted to us (we choose only the best of these to feature on the homepage). You can still comment on these and share them, and ultimately if there are submissions in this section that have not made it on the homepage, but the users think should be featured there, we'll listen and move it. So, in a way, users can now be a direct part of the curating process.
We still have a third phase rolling out sometime in the next few weeks that will include optimized page loading time and also an archive that will allow you to read an entire day's post on a single page (12 at once)--more than twice what you would've seen on a single page before the redesign.
In the meantime, we hope you'll be patient with us, and that once are redesign is complete you will end up liking the changes to the site as much as we do.

All the abusive comments and then you all wonder why they don't reply to you. They're in the middle of a redesign, be patient, it's not the end of the world to have to click for every submission. The page loads instantly however many are on one page and my PC's a dinosaur so stop moaning about it.
