Though context clues seem to suggest that the sender of that particular text was using “snarfed” to indicate some sort of laughter. Maybe they thought they were making up a word – I thought it was made up, anyway.
Snarfing is when you are drinking something, you laugh, and the liquid comes out of your nose (and sometimes mouth at the same time). I don’t know why, but that’s what it is.
