I can tell you’re a new owner of the droid… haven’t gotten used to the keyboard yet have ye?
As far as I know you have to have a rooted phone to take a screenshot.. There’s apps for it at the android market..
You don’t *need* to root your droid to be able to screenshot. BUT, there is no button press on the droid that will save a screenshot.
To get a screenshot from a non-rooted droid:
(I’d suggest googling this as you’ll find more detailed directions since I’m just going from memory)
1. Download the droid SDK.
2. Connect your droid to your computer and run the SDK.
3. Under one of the menu options, there will be a button to hit to grab the screen.
4. ???
5. Profit.
But yeah, like I said, google it for better instructions. Mine are a bit confusing.
I should have mentioned, the Droid SDK is downloaded on your computer, not your phone.
This is one of my favorites in a while. Such a non sequitur…
